Short description:
The paper is devoted to the description of the
specifi cs of language policy in the Siberia region.
The problem of the minority language preservation
is defi ned as an issue of the preservation of the
national identity of the ethnic minorities. Main
causes of disappearance of some minority languages
in Russia associated with the educational policy in
the Soviet period of time are outlined herein.
